Autumn Term 2024
We will be performing our concert Rejoice! at the Holy Trinity Church, High Street, Guildford on Saturday 30 November, 7.30pm...
Blackheath & Bramley Choral Society is an amateur choir of approximately 60 singers. We rehearse for two terms each year from September to December and then January to April. Our concerts are in November/December and April and are usually held at the Holy Trinity Church in Guildford with a professional orchestra and soloists. During the summer months we arrange several choral workshops to which non-members are made welcome.
There is a blend of experienced singers together with those with less experience but who all enjoy learning and practising good music, striving to achieve high standards.
We have end of term parties and other social events during the year, including a quiz evening and summer barbecue. Many of us reconvene in the local pub after rehearsals.
The choir rehearses in Bramley and our concerts are in Guildford. However, our members also come from a wide geographical area extending as far as Dorking to Cranleigh to Cobham, with all the towns and villages in between.
Rehearsals take place on every Monday evening from September to April from 8pm to 10pm. In the coming year we will continue to practise at Holy Trinity Church in Bramley.
Whilst rehearsals are serious, they are conducted in a very friendly way.
We give a concert at the end of each term.
